New Look...Even Better Taste....

Salters and his wife Elizabeth took over the amazing Frank's Restaurant 24 years ago. WOW!! That's right 24 years ago. To top it off they have had the same executive chef, Pierce Culliton for just as many years. That is almost unheard of in the Restaurant business. However, with attention to detail and quality, Frank's stands out as one of the premier dining destinations of the Pawleys Island Low Country. With a newly renovated interior and new sign it was time for Frank's to update their photo arsenal for updated advertising and website and I was more than happy to jump on board for this project!!!!!!  Bon Appetit!

New Tear Sheets from Dot Dot Dot MAG!!

One of my best friends approached me several months ago about working with him as one of the main photographers on a new publication he had in mind. Not a local publication... Not a regional publication... Not even a national publication... We are talking a WORLDWIDE online magazine focusing on the ARTS, MUSIC and TECHNOLOGY.
This was a no brainer! "YES I will work with you!" I immediately replied. This has been quite an adventure so far and I really see this online magazine as a new outlet to explore my interest and talents in music, portrait and conceptual photography.
Most of the photos I did for this premier issue were local and regional. Hopefully, as this grows, I will soon find myself back in the skyways of our awesome world, re-connecting with old tour-mates, long lost friends and meeting new and amazing people from all walks of life. Thanks for reading, Scott :)

Real Jobs Start Here.

I recently wrapped up the photography for a new print, web and outdoor advertising campaign for Horry Georgetown Technical College. This is a culmination of 4 seperate days of shooting, amazing real life students from HGTC and an eager and excited staff. So, keep one eye on the road and use the other one to glance up at these amazing new billboards as they start to pop up all over Horry County and the rest of the Pee Dee area.

NEXT MODELING AGENCY!

Allison is signed to Next Modeling Agency down in Miami. I have done two shoots with her in the past and last week her mother called me stating that the agency needed some new "Seventeen Magazine" style shots of Allison. We shot 3 outfits in about an hour and a half and had the help of another talented young lady named Taylor Sparks who was working her make-up magic. Here is what we came up with.

Back to my Roots!

I dug up some old roots this week with a quick little trip to Atlanta to see my friend Justin Pearson. For those of you that may have never heard of Justin let me just tell you he is one of the main reasons I am where I am at today. Justin's band The Locust and record label 31G was the main catalyst for my photography career. I met him in 2001 when The Locust played a small venue in my home town called "The Lazy I." I was just getting into photography and started shooting live bands. After the show I spoke to Justin Briefly, got his address and mailed him prints from the show a few weeks later. Next thing I know I had a P.O. Box full of awesome records and a thank you card. 6-8 Months later I attended the More than Music Fest In OH. The locust and several other amazing bands such as Arab On Radar, Lighting Bolt and Daughters were also on the bill as part of the OOPS tour. I spoke to Justin quite a while that day about life, photography and several other things. To make a long story short.... Justin started using my  photos for his website, postcards and all sorts of other nifty marketing tools for his label. He also got me in touch with their publicist Maria who quickly started getting me published in Alternative Press and Spin..... The rest, as some would say, is history...
So, here we are... The First photo I took of him in 2001 as the bass player and vocalist for the THE LOCUST and a brand new one I took of him this week with his new band RETOX.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful new hidden treasure in the heart of Pawley's Island. Nestled away inside the Hammock Shops, Nosh fills your desire for yummy tapas, a wonderful wine list, delicious apps and decadent desserts.
